NUDT Nationals Fundraiser
The Northeastern University Dance Team (NUDT) was founded in 2003 by a group of Northeastern students passionate about dance and interested in supporting their school at a higher level. Since then, we have grown to be a spirit team staple in the athletic department. Our styles typically include hip-hop, jazz, and pom, with a strong underpinning of technique in all routines. We are highly dedicated to representing Northeastern University Athletics in a professional, positive, and energetic manner. We are a competitive team and the only dance group at Northeastern that is recognized as an official club sport. Our team performs at all men’s and women’s home basketball games and we travel to their respective conference tournaments in the spring. Our mission is to provide an avenue of performance for experienced dancers at various sporting events, as well as regional and nationally recognized competitions.
This year, the Northeastern University Dance Team qualified for a Gold Bid to attend the National Dance Alliance Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida this upcoming April. NDA Nationals gives us the opportunity to compete against the best of the best, and the experience is truly unparalleled in the dance community. We’re currently working on our choreography to perform the strongest routines possible. This year, we will be competing in two divisions at Nationals, hip hop and team performance (pom, jazz, & hip hop). As a team, we are responsible for financing all of our endeavors, meaning we have had to fundraise a lot for Nationals. We have held fundraisers around Boston to raise the resources necessary for our trip, including events at local restaurants and dance workshops. Now, we are asking for your support! Your donation will really go a long way in helping our dreams come true and getting our talented dancers onto that Nationals stage—and every dollar will go directly to our Nationals fund.
