Help Pitch, Please! raise money for recording music and putting out more content!
Pitch, Please! is recording new music!
Founded in 2012, Pitch, Please! is a Northeastern University women-centered treble a cappella group that seeks to empower and inspire others through music. They are a passionate and dynamic group that aims to push boundaries and challenge the standards of traditional collegiate a cappella. We have made waves in the music community by competing in the 2019 ICCA Finals, performing on the TODAY Show in New York City for International Women’s Day, winning the title of Best Female Collegiate Album in the 2020 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards for our full-length album, Obsidian, and more!
Music is an art form that has the power to change the lives of those who listen. This year, Pitch, Please! celebrates a prosperous 10 years since the group's creation, and we have worked hard to adopt a sound that is meaningful and representative of our growth. Pitch, Please! is fortunate to experience such an undeniable sense of community through our former and current members, arrangers and sound engineers, and other artists and lovers of music who have helped shape us into the group that we are. We wish to continue releasing music that portrays our evolving sound and hope to evoke purposeful emotions in our audiences, which include the Northeastern community and more.
Help us raise $8,000 so we can continue to spread our vision and message of empowerment through our music!
As a women-centered and non-binary a cappella group, one of our main missions is to change the perception of what treble a cappella can be. Given the various stereotypes associated with treble-voiced groups, we are trying to break down these misconceptions through our unique selection of songs and the nuances in our vocal performances.
With that said, simply performing at competitions and gigs can only spread our message so far—but creating more virtual content will allow a broader audience to experience how we are changing the a cappella landscape.
Pitch, Please! thanks you so much for your support, and we hope that you can be a part of our story in this next decade and beyond.
