Highlighting diverse paths in entrepreneurship and empowering female and non-binary students in the Northeastern community
The Women’s Interdisciplinary Society of Entrepreneurship (WISE) is a student-led group at Northeastern University dedicated to helping women develop an innovative mindset through immersive workshops, a thought incubator, a venture accelerator, and mentorship pairings.
Only 5% of venture capital funding goes to women-founded companies, and there are more men named James leading Fortune 500 companies than women leading Fortune 500 companies. WISE was created to change those statistics! We believe that by showcasing entrepreneurial thinking in all fields and industries, more women will be encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship. With a strong sense of community and a diverse set of programs, WISE hopes to empower others interested in starting a company or applying an innovative mindset to whatever they pursue in the future, providing students the opportunity to explore curiosities and discover paths together. Experiential learning is at the heart of Northeastern University, and WISE builds upon its ethos.
On March 18, WISE will host its third annual summit with the theme “Created by Courage” at Northeastern’s Interdisciplinary Science & Engineering Complex. The event will bring together 300+ students, alumni, and community members from Boston and beyond to learn from each other through community-building activities, workshops, lightning talks, a panel, and keynotes.
The journey to an innovative mindset and a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem starts here.
Donations above $750 will be featured as a WISE sponsor on our website and promotional material.
